What to do in Oviedo

Oviedo is an Asturian city that has become a true magnet for tourism thanks to an impressive offer of entertainment – especially gastronomy and nightlife – in practically all its areas.

Since time immemorial, Oviedo has been known for being a gastronomic city thanks to its excellent restaurants, bars and taverns.

In Oviedo, the tourist will find streets, squares and avenues full of magical and interesting places that cannot be missed.

In addition to the many bars and restaurants that can be found on practically every corner, you can visit interesting architectural works of great historical, artistic and patrimonial value. Examples include its famous pre-Romanesque churches, all of them declared World Heritage Sites, its squares and cathedrals, and the singular and interesting route of statues.

Oviedo also has one of the most attractive streets for commerce, Uría street. It is full of bodegas, shops, and business premises with excellent products and souvenirs. Also, it borders parks and squares that are as beautiful as they are interesting.

In fact, one of the most attractive and visited parks in Oviedo is Campo de San Francisco, not only because of how beautiful and well-preserved it is but also because it houses a statue of Mafalda, the popular character of the Argentine cartoonist Quino. Apart from the Woody Allen statue, this is the place where tourists take the most photos.
