Madrid is not only the most populated city in the Iberian nation but also home to the greatest heritage, historical and cultural wealth in Spain, especially after the Court was established in 1561. Since then, Madrid has become the epicentre of politics, art, fashion, economy, gastronomy, and, of course, Spanish tourism.
Some of the Madrid themed routes are especially interesting, such as the so-called Almodóvar Route, the Goya Route, the Cervantes Route and the Vargas Llosa Route. All are aimed at offering a panoramic view of the places where these renowned figures lived.
Other routes, such as the popular Madrid for Football Fans or the Party Zones, are much more playful and focus on offering lots of fun, either showing the great stadiums and respective triumphs of the soccer teams that play in Madrid or exploring discotheques, nightclubs, bars and other recreational centres of Madrid's active nightlife.
There are also routes such as Madrid, the TV Series Capital and Alatriste Route that offer a fun tour through the locations used to film the adventures of Captain Alatriste, the legendary character of Arturo Pérez Reverte, or popular television series such as Ministerio del Tiempo, Paquita Salas, Velvet and the world-famous Casa de Papel.
The Hemingway Route is a tour of all the places in Madrid that inspired the famous Nobel Prize-winning writer to create immortal works.
