What to do in Granada

To speak of Granada is to refer to one of the most beautiful and spectacular cities in the world thanks to its enigmatic and magical combination of cultures, flavours, traditions and origins.

The place that symbolizes Granada is undoubtedly the Alhambra, an architectural treasure originating from the Nasrid kingdom. It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1984. The Alhambra is undoubtedly the maximum representation of the culture of Arab Spain, which lasted for more than 700 years and left a deep mark on the Iberian nation.

In addition to the Alhambra, Granada is full of extraordinarily interesting places that must be visited. Among them are the Barrio del Albaicín and the Barrio del Sacromonte, which are full of streets that seem to travel through time and that contain genuine flamenco roots.

In these places, one can not only visit the past but also enjoy the present thanks to the many commercial options. Tourists can buy souvenirs and excellent quality articles as well as visit restaurants and bars where food and flamenco music are actively and constantly present.

However, Granada is not only the Alhambra or its incredible places to shop and have fun. One can also visit the world-famous Hammam Al Ándalus, a twelfth-century house where the Arab baths are located. Here, visitors can take baths in any of the hot springs, of differing temperatures, as well as enjoy a relaxing massage with oils and essences, all in an authentic, extraordinarily decorated artistic and archaeological treasure.
