La Concha Promenade (San Sebastian)

La Concha Promenade (San Sebastian)

One of San Sebastian's greatest tourist and recreational attractions is its brand-new and spectacular La Concha Promenade, which crosses practically the entire coast along its fishing port and beaches. The promenade offers spectacular views of the entire city and the coast and is considered one of the most famous in Spain.

This beautiful promenade is part of several branches with different names that begin at the foot of Mount Urgull, called the New Promenade. From there, it reaches the fishing port and borders the Town Hall, where the La Concha Promenade officially begins.

Among the great attractions found along this promenade is a series of decorative ornaments and important architectural elements. Among them are the famous La Concha Railing installed in 1910 (the work of Juan Rafael Alday), the beautiful streetlights on the ramp descent, the enormous clocks and, of course, the buildings along the spa, such as the Royal Bath House.

Both the length and the location of the promenade are ideal so that tourists and visitors can admire the surroundings of the city and its beautiful coast. The intercutting of the other branches, such as the Miraconcha Promenade and the Ondarreta Promenade, gives access to various attractions like the famous "Peine del Viento" and the spectacular Royal Palace of Miramar.

The La Concha Promenade offers a magnificent walk for lovers or families and offers access to a series of restaurants, bars, marinas and commercial establishments, making it an important communication route.
